FINE ARTS



Fine Arts at Todd Beamer High School offers students a variety of courses and programs that allow them to explore creativity, expression, and artistic skills. Students can participate in performing arts such as drama, technical theater, choir, and music. Music



Music Appreciation



Music Appreciation introduces students to the study and enjoyment of music from different cultures, genres, and historical periods. Orchestra



Orchestra provides students with the opportunity to perform and develop skills on string instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and bass. Concert Band



Concert Band gives students the opportunity to perform and develop skills on wind, brass, and percussion instruments. In this course, students learn music theory, sight-reading, and ensemble techniques while participating in concerts, competitions, and school events. The class emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and musical expression, helping students grow as performers and collaborators.



Wind Ensemble



Wind Ensemble is an advanced performing group for students who play wind, brass, and percussion instruments. In this course, students focus on high-level music performance, technique, and ensemble precision, often performing challenging repertoire at concerts and competitions. Participation emphasizes teamwork, discipline, leadership, and musical expression.



Jazz Ensemble



Jazz Ensemble gives students the opportunity to perform and study jazz music, including improvisation, swing, and contemporary jazz styles. In this course, students develop skills on instruments such as saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, and drums while learning jazz theory, rhythm, and ensemble techniques. Piano teaches students the fundamentals and advanced techniques of piano performance. In this course, students learn music theory, sight-reading, scales, chords, and expressive playing while practicing solo and ensemble pieces. Guitar

Percussion



Percussion gives students the opportunity to learn and perform on a variety of percussion instruments, including drums, timpani, cymbals, and mallet instruments.
